Resume Mr. Xiang Huang, born 1984 Anhui , China , began playing the piano under the guidance of his father when he was 4 years old. Already as a child he won several first prizes in various competitions in Auhui. From 1996 to 2006 he studied with the renowned Chinese Pianist Leyi Wu and also with Prof. Shizhen Yao in Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Since 2006 he has been a student of Professor Nina Tichman at the Musikhochschule Köln. Since 2010 he has been accepted as a student in the Piano-Solo category at the same school, the highest recognized diploma under the European Conservatory System.

Xiang Huang has played solo recitals in China , Germany ,France, Korea and Poland. He has also appeared as soloist with orchestras performing Concertos from Mozart (Shanghai Philharmonic), Chopin (Julich Orchestra Germany ), and Beethoven (Torun Symphony Orchestra Poland ), Kuangzhou Phiharmonic Orchestra(Korea). He has appeared on television and radio (CCTV and SHTV) in China and will perform in Feb 2010 on WDR3 Germany. In October of 2010 he was invited by the Nanjiang Mountain International Festival in Korea as a soloist where he performed numerous concerts and gave masterclasses in Kuang Zhou and Chun Shan National Universities.

Prizes and Awards: • 2011 Semi-Finalist in Montreal International Piano Competition • 2009 1st Prize and Audience Prize at GenRe Stipend-Competition in Germany • 2009 1st Prize and Audience Prize at Burg Namedy Piano Festival in Germany. • 2008 3rd Prize at 5th Beethoven Piano Competition Richard Laugs in Germany • 2008 1st Prize and Audience Prize in Roesrath International Piano Festival in Germany. • 2007 Semi-Finalist at the 4th China International Piano Competition in China • 2005 4th Prize at the 3rd Shanghai International Piano Competition in China • 2005 2nd Prize and Special Prize in 1st Bechstein Piano Competition in Shanghai China. • 2004 Final Prize at the 4th China National Piano Competition.
