When we first thought about creating a website like comusico we discussed "how to make the world a better place..."
What do you mean? What's wrong with the world of classical music?
First of all, we are real lovers of classical music. And probably that's why we noticed that the actors in this market are absolutely under-represented on the Internet. For example we've discussed why a lot of young (classical) musicians are online many hours a day but it's almost impossible to find their contact data to book them for a concert... a few beers later we realized that we have to build this website.
What is comusico?
comusico is an online tool for presenting and organizing musicians and to get informations about classical music. On comusico you can create your own professional internet presence as a musician, concert organizer or lover of classical music within a few minutes. Then you can customize your profile easily without any technical requirements. Find friends, support your favourite musicians and browse the databases of concerts and composers. Step by step a network with all actors of the classical music arise.
And what's your personal motivation to build up comusico?
Lisa Schulz: I'm a real fan of chamber music - especially for young people it's an important experience to interact with other musicians. But often it's complicated to find the right musicians to play with or it's too time-consuming to arrange the rehearsals and all the organizational stuff... to make this process easier, to help people to learn from each other and to enable an enriching dialogue - that's what I want to achieve.
Maximilian Schulz: To understand and benefit from current and future “New Media” technologies is one of the most important skills, nowadays. Unfortunately, a lot of musicians still don't take advantage of the opportunities the Internet offers. Probably because they don't know how or whom to ask. With comusico we provide a service everyone is able to use.
